It’s like getting a blood test for your car
In medicine, doctors commonly use a blood test to assess a patient’s health. Medical blood tests can confirm suspected problems, detect emerging problems and, hopefully, provide assurance that “all is well.” VehicleDNA provides the same capabilities for vehicles. Using small samples of oil, coolant, and transmission fluid, the VehicleDNA system assesses the condition of a vehicle’s engine, cooling system and transmission. VehicleDNA is based on techniques developed by the railroad industry over 60 years ago. Then, as now, equipment operators understood that lubricant evaluation is an important tool for detecting emerging problems before they lead to catastrophic failures. VehicleDNA is a science-based process with a proven track record in demanding industries.
ACCURATE RESULTS IN MINUTES. Lube and coolant evaluation are two-step processes. The first step is sample testing. Lube testing identifies contaminants such as iron, aluminum, or copper. Coolant testing determines freeze and boiling points and evaluates the level of coolant contamination. The second step is sample evaluation, a task focused on interpreting the meaning of test data. Evaluation provides the expert insight needed for determining vehicle’s condition. VehicleDNA uses a combination of statistics and an expert “knowledge base” to produce comprehensive and easy to understand reports. As in medicine, VehicleDNA can confirm suspected problems, detect emerging problems, or provide peace of mind based on knowing that “all is well.”
What do the icons mean?
This icon indicates none of the individual test results or combination of test results was high enough to trigger an action recommendation
This icon indicates one or more test results or combination of test results was high enough to trigger a recommendation for onsite diagnostics and/or further investigation by a qualified mechanic.
This icon indicates one or more test results or combination of test results was high enough to trigger a recommendation suggesting that mechanical failure is a distinct possibility over a short time period unless diagnostic and/or maintenance action is taken.

VehicleDNA REPORTS ARE CLEAR AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND
In just a few minutes, VehicleDNA produces a clear, easy-to-understand analysis of a vehicle’s condition. These reports include a diagnosis of problems, recommended corrective actions, and an explanation of the reasons for this assessment. And, since VehicleDNA lives in the cloud, your vehicle’s history is always available regardless of where it is serviced.
